In this Behavior regulation course you will learn two essential tools.
- One is tools to handle situations your dog is not ready for.
- The second is how to behaviorally train your dog so that it becomes more tolerant and relaxed, instead of reacting in different situations.
Why your dog reacts is individual. This will be taking into account with each participant as we go along with the behavioral training.
The course includes 1:1 sessions so your behavioral training can start now.
We are two instructors on this team – plenty of time for each individual.

My dog reacts by:
- Pulls on the leash when another dog approaches or just at the sight of it
- Barking, raise brushes, bare teeth, etc.
- Lies down expectantly and suddenly changes behavior
- Hiding behind you and shaking - wants to get away
- Seems like it wants to greet but suddenly attack
- Once it has had a reaction, starts nipping, jumping up on me, short temper, barks etc.

About the behavioral course
The advantage of being a group of up to 6 dogs is:
- that the distance can be easily adjusted, so that we can control where each dog stands in relation to the others
- that you get the most out of the course with professional guidance
- You can take all the breaks you want in addition to those recommended
- The instruction is very user-friendly, so you are on board with how to behaviorally train your dog between sessions
- You can get support between sessions as needed (by phone), logbog and lots more
Why Behavioral group class vs 1:1 Behavioral course
I have years of experience with 1:1 behavioral training with reactive dogs (including my own dog) and my experience is that it can be challenging to conduct behavioral training in a safe and controlled setting with a group of other dogs. That is why we have tailored this course for Reactive dogs.
This behavioral group class has the same framework/depth as a 1:1 behavioral course, but in this course we can intensify the learning.
My specific background for this group class is an Instructor course in the UK with specialists in the issue, tough by Chiraq Patel, Lynn Hewison and others.
Practicality
- We train behavioral training 6 times over 12 weeks - every other week
- 1.5 -2 hours per session including plenty of breaks
- Ongoing support as needed by phone
- When you sign up, you fill out an in-depth questionnaire, send me videos of your dog when it is reactive.
Safety
- Any dog that has a history of biting and/or seriously attacking other dogs, or is likely to do so, MUST wear a muzzle when we meet. PLEASE NOTE that dogs often need to be trained to wear a muzzle
