Who is your trainer...
I was born in 1970 and am the happy owner of my Papillon boy Micky, 12 years old. Micky had a lot in his baggage when I got him when he was 6 months old, in the form of insecurity, back pain, attacks by other dogs, being misunderstood when he clearly said “no” to other dogs, etc.
This was expressed as going off the leash and growling/acting violently, as well as aggressive behavior towards puppies, male dogs, people he doesn’t know, especially when too much is happening around him, etc.
What I have learned about this, together with my professionalism and lots of training, is that when I meet and see Micky where he is every day with lots of love, patience and space, I can help him so that he can have a safe and happy everyday life.
However, this means that we often avoid other dogs and especially larger packs to prevent and avoid conflicts.
We use daily play on the walk when he gets loose and we train all kinds of fun tricks and activation exercises every day. We train regularly in teams with some top-notch trainers and currently we are nerding out Dogdancing Freestyle at 1st grade in tricks. Thus, our bond is strong as steel 🙂
Experience
I have been teaching since 2015 with puppies, young and adult dogs in everyday obedience, handling and of course all kinds of tricks & mental activation at a dog school in Copenhagen.
The Mobile Dog Trainer was founded in 2019, for which I have been employed full-time with dogs & behavior training through several thousand hours of training of fantastic dogs and owners.
In addition, I keep in shape by continuously participating in courses, workshops, courses, etc. including Clicker Expo with Ken Remirez, Chiraq Patel & Emma Parson. Own training with, among others, Hund & training, Sonja v/Positivhundetræning, Anja Christiansen/aktivhundecenter, Tine Gade/Tricks, Lea Nor, Eva Bertilsson/Animal in Control, Elke Boxoen/Dogdancer, etc.
From previous full-time jobs I have more than 20 years of teaching experience from all kinds of group training within the fitness industry, free diving to coaching, first aid and everything else. Personnel management has also been a big part of my daily life over the years.
In my free time, in addition to everything with dogs, I practice yoga and free diving, and have fun with my family, friends and those around me.
